The challenge

Send is a leading AI-native underwriting orchestration platform serving commercial, specialty and complex risk insurance markets. In July 2026 it was acquired by Duck Creek Technologies, bringing together Duck Creek's core insurance platform with Send's underwriting engine.

What we did

Over 10 months, working alongside Send's CFO, we:

  • Built Send's financial model from scratch in December 2025, with historicals rebuilt and reconciled back to January 2024.
  • Ran Send's FP&A from January 2026, producing monthly reporting packs and weekly cash flow analysis, and helped tighten a slow month-end close.
  • Prepared financial information packs and the data room when the fundraise became a sale process.
  • Answered more than 20 financial due diligence questions with the CFO, coordinating with Solano Partners, Send's financial advisor.
  • Continued FP&A support after the sale, handing over to Duck Creek's integration team before rolling off in October 2026.

The outcome

  • Buyers saw 28 months of consistent, reconciled monthly numbers, from January 2024 to April 2026, from the start of due diligence.
  • Due diligence questions were answered the same or next day, and never took more than two days.
  • The CFO could focus on the transaction itself while we handled the information requests.
  • The sale to Duck Creek was announced in July 2026, and the finance function was handed over cleanly to the integration team.

Client testimonial

“We initially brought them in for FP&A support ahead of a planned fundraise… When the process shifted from fundraise to a sale process, Tariq and his team stepped up further. They worked round the clock alongside us on information collation and data room preparation, moving fast without dropping quality, right through to completion. I'd recommend Tariq and Alessian without hesitation to any founder or CFO who needs FP&A support they can rely on under pressure.”
